Baton Rouge Collision Shop

With the Memorial Day Weekend behind us, summer is now officially here and with the summer upon us, a vast majority of people will be on the roads for summer vacations. Many of us will hit the road for long distance driving. And with the family vacations ahead of us, we must take the appropriate safety precautions to keep our loved ones safe on the road.

One of the things that many of us take for granted is driving. We drive to work. We drive to buy food. We sometimes drive when going on vacations. As with many things we do on a regular basis, driving might tend to be taken for granted. However, this should not be the case. The statistics on accidents tell us so.

As a Baton Rouge Collision Shop, we want to help keep you and your family safe on the road. You may drive everyday, but it never hurts to be reminded of how to stay safe on the road. And, if there is an unfortunate circumstance where you or a loved one is in an auto accident, please refer to a previous blog about how
stay safe immediately after an accident

We have listed some key areas to check before hitting the roads for that long family vacation.

  • Tires - check tread and air pressure
  • Lights - make sure your headlights and taillights are functioning properly
  • Oil - Make sure you have changed the oil recently.
  • Fluids - check the power steering fluid, windshield wiper fluid, and radiator coolant fluid.
  • Battery Cables - Make sure you have a pair of jumper cables packed in the car.
  • You never know what can happen on the road, so keep a blanket, flashlight, and bottle of water in the trunk at all times.

At Medines Collision Center, we want you to be safe on the roads this summer so that you can enjoy your vacation with your family.
